The United States Women’s National Team will face the Republic of Ireland in two friendlies in April which will be the last matches before coach Vlatko Andonovski names their Women’s World Cup roster.
The first game will take place on April 8 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, before the two teams face off again on April 11 at Citypark in St. Louis, home of new Major League Soccer team St. Louis City.

Andonovski is expected to name her 23-man roster for the Women’s World Cup later in the spring before the tournament begins in Australia and New Zealand on July 20.
The USWNT have beaten Ireland in their previous 13 encounters, most recently winning 3-0 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California in August 2019. Ireland, however, are riding high after qualifying for the Women’s World Cup for the first time. .
“Ireland are a very motivated and hardworking team with talented players with big hearts who I know are really excited to represent their country at a World Cup,” Andonovsky said.
“Both games will be a great test at a crucial time in our team’s run to the World Cup.
