Bowling in Babar or tailender is the same for me: Mohammad Amir
Karachi Kings pacer Mohammad Amir has made a startling claim, saying bowling with Babar Azam or a tailender is the same for him.
While speaking to a local channel, the left-arm pacer said his job is to pick the wickets regardless of the batsman in the crease.
“These kind of matchups and rivalries between players keep the players on their toes. Personally, I like these kinds of challenges because it keeps me focused,” Amir said.
“My job is to take wickets and win games for my team, so for me going up against Babar or a tailender at number 10 will be the same,” he added.
Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar has also played down his rivalry with his former Karachi Kings teammate.
On a question regarding the potential to face Amir in the aforementioned match, Babar said he would stick to his basics like he does against any other bowler.
“Competition is always good for the league. Not only Karachi, but every team has good quality local bowlers. That’s why all the foreigners play in this league because it’s a quality league,” Babar said. “When I play against any quality bowler, I stick to my basics.”
Zalmi, managed by Babar, will play his first game of HBL PSL 8 against the Kings today at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.
